The 1995 Castello di Neive Santo Stefano Barbaresco is a testament to the greatness of Barbaresco—one of Italy's finest yet underappreciated wines. Like its illustrious neighbor, Barolo, Barbaresco is crafted from the noble Nebbiolo grape. This particular wine hails from the prestigious single-vineyard Santo Stefano, nestled on the hillsides and first planted in 1964. After careful vinification, it matures for 12 months in French oak barrels, achieving a remarkable balance of complexity and elegance.

Tasting Notes
A vibrant garnet red, this Barbaresco greets the nose with an enticing bouquet of well-ripened red berry fruits, accented by balsamic undertones, dried roses, coffee, spices, and a whisper of fine wood. On the palate, it shines with intensity and elegance, showcasing a refined tannic structure and a harmonious finish. This wine pairs beautifully with hearty dishes such as agnolotti in meat sauce, roasted meats, or rich beef stews.

Spanning approximately 60 hectares, with 27 dedicated to vineyards, the estate is a beacon of traditional winemaking. With meticulous care at every step of production, Castello di Neive continues to honor its legacy while producing wines of exceptional quality.
