  • Description

This 10 Year Old Tawny Port is well-regarded for its balance and refined character, reflecting the craftsmanship and tradition of Burmester. This port is a fine example of a 10-year-old tawny, offering a delightful drinking experience for both casual enjoyment and special occasions.

    Tasting Notes
The Burmester 10 Year Old Tawny Port is an intense golden colour, with an amber rim. Complex on the nose, with prevailing aromas of dried fruit, almond and hazelnut combined with notes of honey and vanilla. A refined palate, with great smoothness, elegance and intensity. A round, full-bodied wine that develops into a rich and intensely fresh finish.

    Serving & Food Pairing:
Tawny Ports are ready-to drink and do not require decanting. Best enjoyed slightly chilled at 12-13ºC they will work wonders if pairing with treacle tart, crème brulee or nut based desserts, like hazelnut praline.

H.Burmester & Cia. is one of the leading Port wine producers in Portugal. Founded in 1750 by Henry Burmester and John Nash, it has a long history of producing high-quality Ports. Burmester Ports are highly regarded for their quality and consistency, and the company has a reputation for producing some of the finest Ports in the Douro region. They are particularly known for their Colheita Ports, which are single-vintage Tawny Ports aged in oak barrels for an extended period before being bottled.
