Vintage & Background
The 2000 vintage in Bordeaux is celebrated for its ripeness, structure, and balance. Château La Millade is a Bordeaux regional red, crafted from Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon with a style typical of approachable, fruit-driven right-bank blends. While not classified and not part of Saint‑Émilion or its satellites, it reflects solid craftsmanship and the harmonious character of a strong Bordeaux vintage.

Appearance & Nose
The wine shows a mature garnet core with subtle brick hues at the rim. Aromatics reveal ripe red and dark fruit — plum, cherry, and subtle cassis — layered with cedar, forest floor, and gentle spice. Secondary notes of leather and earthy nuance develop with air, highlighting evolved complexity without the intensity of classified right-bank wines.

Palate & Texture
Medium-bodied with softened tannins and balanced acidity, the palate delivers flavours of mature red fruits, gentle spice, light earth, and a touch of cedar. The texture is smooth and harmonious, leading to a moderate, well-rounded finish that echoes the wine’s fruit and earthy layers.
