This 1975 Riserva from Casale del Bosco is a classic example of mature Brunello di Montalcino at its finest. Produced exclusively from Sangiovese Grosso grapes and aged under traditional methods, it has had five decades to evolve into a wine of exceptional depth, elegance, and history.

A window into Tuscany’s golden years
The wine displays a brick-garnet hue with a tawny rim, signalling its remarkable age. On the nose, it offers a complex tapestry of dried cherry, fig, leather, and cedar, intertwined with hints of balsamic herbs, sweet pipe tobacco, and a delicate floral lift.

Refined and graceful on the palate
Time has softened its structure, leaving silky tannins and a harmonious balance. Flavours of dried red fruit, truffle, forest floor, and subtle spice linger with impressive persistence. Its savoury depth and freshness reflect both the quality of the 1975 vintage and the skill of Casale del Bosco’s winemaking.

Serving and pairing
Best served at 16–18 °C after gentle decanting to remove any sediment. This wine pairs beautifully with aged Pecorino, truffle-infused dishes, or slow-cooked lamb, but it can just as easily be enjoyed on its own as a contemplative glass.
