Description

The 1994 Château Batailley is a classic Pauillac with a bold yet approachable profile that highlights the vintage’s character and the estate’s traditional style. On the nose, it offers aromas of blackcurrant, plum, and red cherry, balanced by earthy notes of cedar, tobacco, and a hint of leather. The palate is medium to full-bodied, showing ripe fruit flavors with touches of graphite and herbs, reflective of Pauillac’s signature terroir. The tannins are firm yet have softened with age, lending the wine a well-rounded and slightly rustic charm. Its acidity provides a nice lift, keeping the wine vibrant and lively.
