Description

The 2005 Guiraud is very tight on the nose, taking time to unfurl, with notes of apricot, peach, a touch of honeysuckle and quince. Good definition. The palate is impressive. tightly coiled, honeyed fruit, very fine acidity, linear at first then fanning out across the finish with notes of dried apricot, nectarine, a touch of almond and a faint hint of spice. With good length and unctuous on the finish, this Guiraud is impossible to ignore. Drink from now to 2030+

Château Guiraud is a renowned wine estate located in the Sauternes appellation of Bordeaux, France. With a history dating back to the 18th century, the estate has established itself as a leading producer of prestigious sweet wines. Spanning approximately 100 hectares, the vineyard benefits from a unique terroir characterized by gravelly, sandy, and limestone soils, ideal for cultivating Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc grapes affected by noble rot.
