    The 1997 Chateau Talbot has a saturated purple color, and a sweet, earthy, leather, and cassis-scented nose. In the mouth, the wine is fat and opulent, with low acidity. The finish is all glycerin, alcohol, and juicy fruit. It may be almost too low in acidity, but it is drinking well and can be expected to do so for another decade.

    Château Talbot, situated in the Saint-Julien appellation of Bordeaux, France, is renowned for its prestigious history and exceptional red wines.
