Description

Deep golden to amber colour — richer than a young wine due to age and botrytis influence.

Aroma:
Intense and complex: dried apricot, orange peel, burnt honey and marmalade, with hints of toffee, fig and toasty oak from French oak maturation.

Palate:
Richer than many dessert wines of its age — luscious stone fruit and dried citrus flavours with a beautifully integrated acidity that lifts the sweetness. Vanilla warmth and a gentle nuttiness from oak can be present.

Finish:
Long, elegant and lingering, with botrytis sweetness balanced by fresh acidity — unmistakably dessert-wine character but keeping freshness even decades on.
