  • Description

Hooper's 2018 Late Bottled Vintage Port is a refined single-vintage port crafted from the rich soils of Portugal's Douro Valley. Produced with grapes from the 2018 harvest, this wine is matured in oak barrels for up to six years, allowing it to develop a smooth, layered profile distinct to LBV ports.

    Tasting Profile
This LBV showcases a vibrant deep ruby hue and aromatic notes of ripe blackberries, plums, and a hint of floral essence. On the palate, expect luscious dark fruit flavors interwoven with cocoa, a dash of licorice, and a hint of warming spice. The tannins are well-structured, offering a pleasing balance and a lingering, velvety finish.

    Ideal Pairings
Serve slightly chilled between 16°C and 18°C. This versatile port pairs wonderfully with bold blue cheeses, rich chocolate desserts, and berry-based tarts. It also makes an excellent after-dinner drink to enjoy on its own.

    Storage
Keep unopened bottles stored upright in a cool, dark place. After opening, refrigerate to maintain its integrity and enjoy within a few weeks for the best experience.

    About Hooper's Port
Hooper’s Port, founded by London wine merchant Richard Hooper in the 19th century, quickly became a respected brand among British port enthusiasts for its dedication to traditional production methods and quality. In 1951, it was acquired by Real Companhia Velha, Portugal's oldest wine company, which enhanced its reach and resources. By 1971, Hooper's was fully integrated under Real Companhia Velha, sourcing premium grapes from the renowned Quinta Nova vineyard in the Douro Valley.

Today, Hooper’s produces a range of classic ports—Vintage, Late Bottled Vintage, and Colheita—recognized for their smooth profiles and complex flavors developed through extensive cask aging. With its historic commitment to quality,
