Description

This wine is crafted from a selection of high-quality grapes, traditionally foot-trodden and aged in large oak vats for a period of 4 to 6 years before bottling. Unlike vintage ports, which are bottled after just two years of aging, LBV ports are aged longer to achieve a more approachable style while still retaining the depth and complexity of a vintage port.

Tasting Notes
Deep ruby colour, with notes of ripe dark fruits like blackberries, plums, and cherries, with hints of spice, chocolate, and subtle oak. Full-bodied with a well-balanced sweetness, the palate is rich with flavours of dark berries, black cherries, and some spicy undertones. The tannins are firm but well-integrated, leading to a long, smooth finish.

Serving and Food pairing
Best enjoyed slightly chilled, it pairs well with rich desserts, blue cheeses, or as a standalone dessert wine.

Store the bottle in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight. If the bottle has been opened, it can typically be stored for up to two weeks if recorked and kept in a cool place. These Late Bottled Ports are unfiltered but do not require decanting. They will cellar up to 15+ years.
