Pocas 1986 Colheita Port
The 1986 Colheita from Pocas is a beautifully matured single-harvest Tawny Port that showcases nearly four decades of slow oxidative ageing. Long cask maturation has concentrated the wine into a rich amber colour with complex layers of flavour that only time can create.

On the nose, it offers an elegant mix of dried apricots, orange peel, toasted almond and caramelised sugar, lifted by subtle notes of spice and old wood. These aromas translate seamlessly to the palate, where the wine is silky, balanced and deeply expressive. The extended ageing brings great harmony between sweetness, acidity and nutty depth.

The mid-palate reveals flavours of fig, toffee, walnut and molasses, supported by a bright line of acidity that keeps the wine fresh despite its age. Gentle oxidative notes—vanilla pod, hazelnut and a hint of café brûlée—add complexity and length.

The finish is long, warming and refined, with lingering citrus peel and soft spice. This is an exceptional 1986 Colheita that is drinking beautifully now and makes a memorable gift for milestone celebrations. Serve slightly chilled to fully appreciate its depth and aromatic intensity.
