  • Description

The 1983 Armagnac from Ryst-Dupeyron is a sophisticated and refined spirit, reflecting the quality and craftsmanship of its historic producer. It makes for an exceptional gift, particularly for someone who appreciates fine spirits or has a special connection to the year 1983, such as a birthday, anniversary, or other significant event.

    Tasting Notes
This Armagnac reveals an orange-copper colour with aromas and flavours of exotic woods dried fruits, vanilla, caramel, and toffee. Tertiary notes include spices, toasted nuts, tobacco, and leather. The taste is smooth, full-bodied, warm, velvety, with layers of honey, dark chocolate, and coffee. The finish is long and satisfying.

    Serving & Food Pairing:
Even though it can be enjoyed as an apéritif, Armagnac is best appreciated at the end of a meal. It pairs well with coffee or a Cuban or Dominican cigar, as the flavours of cocoa, honey and black pepper enhance its aromas. Armagnac is served neat, at room temperature, in a tulip glass.

Maison Ryst-Dupeyron, a prestigious Armagnac house in Gascony, France, has a rich history dating back to 1832. After a devastating fire destroyed their cellars in 1904, they discovered that barrels hidden in nearby vineyards had exceptional qualities. This led to the creation of "Armagnac de terroir," or "Armagnac of the land," which showcases the family's resilience and commitment to producing exceptional Armagnac.

    How to store your Armagnac
Store the bottle upright to minimize contact between the spirit and the cork. This reduces the risk of the cork deteriorating. Keep the bottle in a cool, dark place, ideally between 15-20°C and avoid temperature fluctuations. Store the bottle away from direct sunlight and artificial light.
