Warre’s Vintage Port 1947 is a true rarity and a fascinating piece of post-war winemaking history. Coming just two years after World War II, the 1947 vintage was declared by only a few Port houses, making it quite uncommon. Warre’s, known for its elegant and balanced style, produced a Port that has aged with grace and subtlety over nearly eight decades.

The 1947 Warre’s typically shows a deep tawny or amber color, reflecting its age and long bottle maturation. On the nose, it often reveals a complex mix of dried fruit, toasted almonds, figs, and hints of citrus peel, leather, and old wood.
