Description
Indulge in the rich sweetness of Blandy’s 10 Year Old Malmsey Madeira – a luscious dessert wine perfect for special occasions.
Tasting Notes:
Crafted exclusively from Malvasia grapes and aged for a decade in seasoned American oak casks using the traditional Canteiro method, this Malmsey Madeira exhibits a deep amber hue. The nose is rich with aromas of dried fruits, caramel, and sweet spices. On the palate, it offers a harmonious balance of sweetness and acidity, featuring flavors of toffee, molasses, and fig, culminating in a long, velvety finish.
Serving Tips & Storage Blandy's 10 year old Sercial is fined and does not require decanting. Serve chilled. An excellent companion to rich desserts like chocolate fondant, sticky toffee pudding, or blue cheese. Also delightful when sipped on its own as a digestif. It has been bottled when ready for drinking and will keep for several months after opening.
Winemaking:
This wine is a blend of Madeira wines with an average age of 10 years in seasoned oak casks in the traditional ‘Canteiro’ system. After the aging process, the wine is fined before bottling.
Cellarage
This wine should be stored upright in a dark room with constant temperature, ideally no higher than 16ºC.

Reviews
Tom Cannavan: 92 points – "As is traditional, the Malmsey is the sweetest in this 10-year-old range, with 125g/l of sugar. Quite a dry, nut husk aromatic, with subtle shellac and nuttiness. The palate has a luscious texture and glycerine richness, that along with moderate sweetness adds to the sense of richness, plenty of orange and lemon zest freshness again."
