Description
Aged Madeira lovers will enjoy this 10 Year Old Verdelho from Blandy’s – a refined, medium-dry style perfect for aperitifs, cheese boards or elegant sipping. Supplied in a stylish bottle, ideal for gifting or elevating your own drinks cabinet.
Tasting Notes:
This medium-dry Verdelho offers an expressive nose of dried apricot, orange peel, crystallised ginger, and toasted almond. On the palate, it balances bright citrus acidity with mellow notes of golden raisin, honeyed walnut, and a flicker of warm spice. Aged in seasoned American oak using the traditional canteiro method, it finishes long, nutty, and delightfully fresh
Serving Tips & Storage Blandy's 10 year old Verdelho is fined and does not require decanting. Serve chilled and enjoy with hard cheeses like Manchego or aged Gouda, smoked almonds, or savoury tarts. Also delicious with roasted root veg or citrus-glazed poultry. It has been bottled when ready for drinking and will keep for several months after opening.
Winemaking:
This wine is a blend of Madeira wines with an average age of 10 years in seasoned oak casks in the traditional ‘Canteiro’ system. After the aging process, the wine is fined before bottling.
Cellarage
This wine should be stored upright in a dark room with constant temperature, ideally no higher than 16ºC.
Blandy's Madeira has been synonymous with quality Madeira wine for over 200 years. The Blandy's are unique in being the only family of all the original founders of the Madeira wine trade to still own and manage their own original wine company. The family has played a leading role in the development of Madeira wine throughout its long history and members of the family continue to live on Madeira, maintaining a tradition that goes back to 1811.

Reviews
Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate: 90 Points
“A delineated, vivacious bouquet with dried quince, orange peel, and a touch of sea water. The palate is medium-bodied with a pleasant honeyed texture on the entry, very well judged acidity, those oxidative/nutty notes neatly counterbalancing the sweetness and viscosity towards the finish with some aplomb.
Wine Spectator: 90 Points
“Features good cut to the dried pear and melon flavors, complemented by notes of melted butter. Well-spiced on the fresh, minerally finish, showing some savory accents.”
