Burmester Casa Burmester 2022 – Touriga Nacional, Douro Red Wine is a bold and expressive single-varietal wine that captures the essence of Portugal’s flagship grape. Touriga Nacional is revered for its deep colour, floral aromatics, and refined structure—and in this elegant bottling from the Douro Valley, it takes centre stage. Burmester, with centuries of winemaking heritage, brings precision and finesse to this modern yet traditionally rooted expression.

On the nose, the wine reveals vibrant aromas of violets, ripe blackberry, and wild herbs, lifted by subtle spice and cedar from gentle oak aging. The palate is full-bodied and structured, yet remarkably smooth, with rich layers of dark plum, black cherry, and a touch of mocha. Silky tannins and bright acidity give the wine energy and poise, while a long, elegant finish hints at its aging potential.

Aged for several months in carefully selected barrels, the 2022 Casa Burmester Touriga Nacional offers both power and elegance, making it a standout choice for collectors and enthusiasts alike. It’s a versatile red that pairs beautifully with grilled meats, roasted vegetables, game dishes, or hard cheeses, and it can also be enjoyed on its own as a contemplative glass at the end of the day.

Whether you're new to Portuguese wines or already a fan of the Douro’s distinctive reds, this single-varietal release is a compelling showcase of what Touriga Nacional can achieve in the hands of a skilled producer. Rich, polished, and full of character, it’s a bottle that delivers sophistication with every pour.
