Description

This wine, whose name means "golden" in ancient Greek – as does the name of the river in Portuguese – has remained true to its own style. Elegance and balance predominate and it has depth without heaviness, and body without sharpness.

Chryseia is the finest expression of the Douro Valley terroir. Made with great care and attention to detail at the winery at Quinta de Roriz, Chryseia represents two families' commitment to producing the most elegant wine from two hallmark Douro grapes: Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca.

Chryseia 2020 was produced from a rigorous selection of grapes from Quinta de Roriz and Quinta da Perdiz, both owned by Prats & Symington. As in all previous editions of
Chryseia, there was also the usual contribution from the Roriz neighbouring estate, Quinta da Vila Velha, privately owned by Rupert Symington.
